It's honestly reasonable when you actually think about "what do these powers bring" everyone would love to be Spider-Man but nobody in hell would want to deal with the stuff that Peter has to deal with *BECAUSE* of what having his powers and responsibilities bring. It's the same with most superheroes especially the X men/mutants where you are constantly getting hunted down and are seen as dangerous monsters. Having a superpower is cool until it isn't anymore. Imagine getting extreme super strength one day and on accident you kill someone you love or any of number of things that could go wrong depending on the power. Look at Rogue, she literally can't touch anyone. Logan has constantly watched his love ones die and has been experimented on. Power brings more trials and tribulations, it will bring unwanted attention.

Who else is reminded of that house flipping show with this Texas couple. I absolutely loved that shows, the houses, the designs, their delightful and charming personalities and attitudes. A single episode always calmed me down after a bad day.
